Colin deSa - VP and CTO

Colin deSaColin deSa brings to Three Pillar nearly 20 years experience in the IT industry. He is accomplished in designing, developing, launching and managing technology products for Fortune 100, medium and start up companies. Before joining LeverPoint, Colin was the CTO of TriCipher, an Internet security product company, where he played a major role in positioning TriCipher as a key player in the identity management and data privacy space, enabling the company to win contracts in  the US, Japan and Europe. Prior  to TriCipher, Colin was CTO of Nippon Systems Development (NSD) Security.

Skilled in building and managing high performance engineering and product support teams, Colin knows how to deliver high quality products under tight budget and scheduling constraints.

Colin brings broad and deep technology skills. He is experienced with developing Internet security, identity management, computer telephony, networking, and CRM products. He brings in-depth expertise with defining product architectures, object oriented analysis and design, product integration and implementation. At Three Pillar, Colin will assume the lead executive role with our client's product team members to ensure successful client services from a technical and functional perspective. Whether assisting with initial product road mapping or the development of highly technical architectures for security, scalability, availability, and performance, Colin helps clients quickly organize their teams, documents and processes to realize their development goals.
 
Colin has an MS degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. He also has an MS degree in Mathematics from Colorado State.

Karen  Castilon

Karen Castilon - VP, Client Services

 

Karen Castilon is the VP of Client Services for Three Pillar. She has more than 12 years of experience in telecommunications systems, process, and service delivery, client services, and management consulting. Additionally, her experience in Agile development and product management enable her to lead product lifecycle and development projects of any size. Most recently, she has successfully managed a children’s online safety web application development team, program managed an online couponing application effort, and built a partnership with an industry leading enterprise mashup tool organization. Prior to her consulting career, Karen was the Director of Network Services Systems at XO Communications, where she was responsible for transforming XO's ordering, fulfillment, and customer service management into a web-centric operation, leveraging the capabilities and technology to automate the lead-to-cash life cycle. Additionally, she played an active role in the design, development and deployment of new products and services.

Karen holds a BA in Business Management and a BA in Economics from North Carolina State University.

Mike Renner - VP, Managed Services

Mike Renner25 years of experience as a senior information technology executive with enterprise class, mission critical IT applications and systems

Michael serves as the Vice President of Managed Services for Three Pillar Global and oversees a comprehensive set of services offerings supporting client application and infrastructure support needs, including cloud computing, systems and application administrative support, and operations management.

Michael was a cofounder of LeverPoint, LLC which merged with Three Pillar Software to form Three Pillar Global.  Serving as Executive Vice President of LeverPoint, Mr. Renner served in a variety of roles as the company grew, including delivery operations, presales, and IT.

Other positions that Michael has held in the past, include Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Aspen , LLC, a mid-market Application Service Provider that provided Internet hosted ERP, CRM, E-Commerce, and business intelligence solutions;  Vice President of Technical Operations for Digex. In this position, he prepared Digex technically for its Initial Public Offering, managed a staff of over 150 engineers and technical specialists who managed over 1200 servers, growing by 200 servers per month, in two geographically dispersed data centers.

As Vice President of Professional Services for Windward Consulting Group, he was instrumental in positioning the company for rapid growth of the $20 million per year firm providing business and technology consulting services to ISP, Internet hosting, and telecommunications companies to assist them in the deployment, management, and support of very large technical infrastructures. Clients included Bell South, Qwest Communications, Digex and others. Mike also served in several key senior technology management positions with the $8.5 billion multi-national Thomson Corporation. In this role, he was on the management team that developed technology strategies and infrastructures to move the 300 companies of Thomson from print-based publishing to digital publishing.

Micahel received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from James Madison University in 1985.

Larry Roe - VP, Sales

Larry Roe Larry Roe is responsible of Three Pillar’s Sales and Business Development activities. Just prior, Larry was SVP of Sales and Business Development for Leverpoint, which was acquired by Three Pillar in late 2009. Larry held positions as Sr. Vice President of Sales with Activplant Corporation, a software technology firm focusing on Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) systems for discrete and high volume manufacturers and as EVP of Sales and Marketing for Total Resource Management, a consulting and services firm with expertise in developing and deploying Strategic Asset Management solutions. Larry was instrumental in driving growth from $9M to over $30M in just twenty-four months.

Previously, Larry served as VP of Sales for MRO Software (acquired by IBM) where he was responsible for driving software and services revenue throughout North America. He was also instrumental in forming and leading the MRO’s first Public Sector organization. Prior to MRO, Larry spent over ten years with Intergraph Corporation, where he held multiple sales leadership roles. He was instrumental in developing Intergraph's first sales model in major account management resulting in excess of $650M in major program wins. He has also spent time with Dipix, Lexidata and Tektronix.

Larry is an active member of Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) where he served as Co-Chairman of the Emerging Business and Entrepreneurs Committee, The Marketing Alliance (TMA) and the GMU Business Alliance. When not working, Larry can be found at an ice rink, golf course or on his bike.

Larry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Computer Science from the State University of New York at Fredonia and a Masters Degree in Organizational Management from Central Michigan University.

Richard Bullington-McGuire - Director, Technology

Richard has over nineteen years' experience providing software development, infrastructure consulting, security, and management services to businesses and the government; he has fostered the growth of several companies: Intelligent Decisions, Microstate, and PKR Internet. His broad understanding of both technical and management issues gives him the perspective needed to guide Three Pillar's engineering efforts as Director of Technology.

His writing has been published in Linux Journal. Richard has contributed to many Open Source projects, including PostgreSQL, MRTG, and JPackage. Richard is also the founder and President of The Obscure Organization, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting creativity and community through technology.

Richard attended Virginia Tech and George Mason University, where he studied Computer Engineering, Studio Art, and Computer Science. He is a member of the IEEE and the Association for Computing Machinery.

Patrick Sheridan - Director, Product Strategy

Patrick SheridanPatrick Sheridan is the Director of Product Strategy at Three Pillar Global.  Mr. Sheridan has more than 12 years of experience in enterprise application design and development.  Patrick founded CloverLeaf Consulting in 2005 to deliver product strategy and rich internet application design consulting services to Fortune 500 customers, federal government agencies, and start-up product and service companies.  After many success partnering engagements, Three Pillar acquired CloverLeaf in 2009.  Previous to starting CloverLeaf, Patrick served as the user interface architect of the Treasury Department's Pay.gov where he led workflow, usability and design efforts for three years across four major releases. 

Mr. Sheridan holds a BFA from the Corcoran College of Art and Design and received his MBA from Georgetown University.
